DUX Gaming and Visa Forge Historic Alliance to Elevate Esports and Women’s Football

By Gilberto Ceballos25 November 20232 min read

The Spanish esports team DUX Gaming and Visa have joined forces in a partnership that aims to elevate the world of esports and women’s football. This collaboration solidifies DUX Gaming’s commitment to the thriving esports community. It also showcases their dedication to advancing women’s football. The alliance extends its influence to DUX Logroño, a presence in Spain’s professional division, where the esteemed athlete Olga García is set to make her mark as a professional esports player.

According to Mario Fernández, CEO of DUX Gaming, and Javier Perales from Visa, this partnership has the potential to drive growth within the club. With a focus on women’s football, this alliance aims to provide girls with inspiring role models in both traditional sports and electronic gaming arenas. Their goal is to create an environment for individuals.

Olga García, a football player known for her impressive career at FC Barcelona, Levante UD and Atlético de Madrid, expressed her enthusiasm about contributing to this groundbreaking project. She acknowledged the progress made in women’s football and eagerly looked forward to furthering its development. Besides her football skills, Olga also sees herself as a mentor who nurtures aspiring talents aiming to represent Spain on a global scale.

Mario Fernández further explained the values of DUX Gaming, a club that seamlessly integrates the virtual aspects of sports gameplay. While deeply involved in the world of esports, the club remains dedicated to upholding sportsmanship. The partnership with Visa goes beyond sponsorship; it serves to provide support for women’s football in both the physical and virtual realms.

The collaboration with Visa extends beyond assistance by delving into content creation. With its members and content creators, DUX Gaming is poised to produce captivating content across platforms such as YouTube, Twitch and different social media channels. This comprehensive approach aims to enhance the representation of women in sports by fostering a community that values diversity and embraces the integration of sports.

From Amateur to Pro

An initiative stemming from this collaboration is the “From Pro to Pro” series, which provides a look into Olga Garcías journey into the world of esports. The series does not focus on documenting her journey through transition. It also aims to serve as an inspiration for a new wave of athletes who can explore their passions and find success in the exciting world of professional esports.
