Advertising & Guest-Post Terms & Conditions
Esports Legal News LLP ("ELN", "we", "us"), a limited liability partnership registered in England & Wales. These Terms govern all paid placements — guest posts, links, banners and add-ons (each a "Placement") — booked by you or your organisation (the "Advertiser") through this portal. By submitting an enquiry and ticking acceptance, you confirm you are authorised to bind the Advertiser to these Terms.
1. Bookings & pricing
- List prices are shown in the intake form and are in Euro (€). Volume and retainer discounts apply only to multi-placement bookings and are subject to our written acceptance.
- Where you propose a custom price, that proposal is an offer only. No contract is formed until ELN confirms the agreed price through the portal or by email.
- A booking is confirmed once (a) we have agreed the price and you have accepted these Terms, and (b) payment has cleared, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
2. Payment
- Invoices are payable in full, in advance, via the payment link we provide (PayPal, Wise or Invoice Ninja). Editorial work and publication begin only after cleared payment, unless agreed otherwise.
- Prices exclude any applicable taxes, which are the Advertiser's responsibility unless stated. VAT is handled per the Advertiser's and ELN's respective tax status.
3. Editorial control & content standards
- ELN retains final editorial discretion over all content, including the right to edit for style, accuracy, length and house standards, and to decline or remove any Placement that does not meet our standards or is, in our reasonable opinion, unlawful, misleading, defamatory or off-topic.
- Guest posts are 800–1,500 words (Enhanced 1,200–1,500), with up to three do-follow links, and must be original and exclusive — not published or syndicated elsewhere.
- Content must be relevant to esports law, gaming regulation, IP, contracts or related industry developments, professionally written and properly researched.
4. Links, indexing & "no sponsored tag"
- Links are do-follow and Placements are not marked "sponsored", save where disclosure is required by applicable law, platform policy or professional/advertising rules — in which case ELN may apply appropriate disclosure at its discretion.
- Placements are editorial, permanent and intended to remain indexed and live indefinitely. We do not operate a PBN or link farm. We may nonetheless remove or amend any content where required for legal, regulatory, security or editorial reasons.
5. No SEO or ranking guarantees
Third-party metrics (e.g. Ahrefs DR, Semrush Authority Score) are not Google ranking factors and are outside our control. ELN makes no guarantee as to search rankings, traffic, indexing timelines, or any commercial outcome. Nothing in our media materials constitutes such a guarantee.
6. Grey-area topics
Gambling, casino, iGaming and CBD-related topics are accepted at our discretion, attract the grey-area premium, and must comply with all applicable advertising and gambling laws in relevant jurisdictions. We may decline such content.
7. Advertiser warranties & indemnity
- The Advertiser warrants that all content, links and materials it supplies are original, lawful, non-infringing, non-defamatory, free of malware, and that it holds all necessary rights and consents.
- The Advertiser indemnifies ELN against all claims, losses, damages and reasonable costs arising from its content, links or breach of these Terms.
8. Intellectual property
The Advertiser grants ELN a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, publish, edit, display and promote the Placement. The Advertiser retains ownership of its underlying brand assets.
9. Cancellations & refunds
Bookings may be cancelled for a full refund before the article draft is submitted for editorial review. Once a Placement is published, fees are non-refundable. Series bookings are non-refundable once the first article is published.
10. Portal access
Your private access key (magic link) is confidential and must not be shared. You are responsible for activity under your key. We may revoke or regenerate keys at any time.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ELN's total liability arising out of or in connection with a booking is limited to the fees actually paid for that booking. We exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, goodwill or anticipated savings. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Data protection
ELN processes the personal data you submit to administer your booking, in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections applicable to the Advertiser.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one you accepted at the time of your booking; a record of your acceptance (name, version, date and IP) is retained.
By proceeding, you confirm you have read, understood and agree to these Terms on behalf of the Advertiser.
