National Student Esports Renews Multi-Year Partnership with Monster Energy

National Student Esports (NSE) has recently announced an extension of their collaboration, with Monster Energy solidifying Monster Energys position as the energy drink partner of the esteemed British University Esports Championship (BUEC). This continued alliance, which began in 2019 emphasizes the role played by Monster Energy in enhancing the esports landscape for university students within the BUEC framework.
The British University Esports Championship serves as a hub for university esports. Experienced substantial engagement during the previous academic year. With over 2,000 teams from 111 universities competing passionately in than 5,000 games it underscores the growing importance and popularity of esports within the community.
Alex Coulson, Managing Director at NSE highlighted how crucial the support provided by Monster Energy is in creating moments and experiences for university students involved in esports. Coulson emphasized that Monster Energys dedication to supporting and promoting the British University Esports Championship validates the significance of esports and enhances gaming experiences for players, within universities.
A noteworthy element of this renewed partnership is the return of ‘Monster Plays,’ a clip competition that showcases talent within the university esports scene.
In this competition participants submit their clips every week from their matches and the community votes to decide on the winner. The victorious player is then rewarded with a years worth of Monster Energy drinks, which adds an incentive, to the environment of university esports.
Looking ahead students can expect an updated tournament series supported by Monster Energy. Additionally there will be initiatives introduced to offer opportunities for students to engage and participate. While we don’t have details about these initiatives yet this partnership demonstrates a shared commitment to advancing and enhancing the esports experience for university students.
Outside of university esports Monster Energy has been making strides in Formula 1. The company recently finalized a sponsorship deal with Formula Ones McLaren Racing team concluding their association with Mercedes. This showcases how Monster Energy is expanding its presence in the world of motorsports.
As the National Student Esports launches the spring season of the British University Esports Championship featuring games such as VALORANT, Teamfight Tactics, Rocket League, League of Legends Overwatch 2 Rainbow Six Siege, Counter Strike 2 Dota 2 and Apex Legends; their renewed partnership with Monster Energy further solidifies NSEs dedication to providing an esports experience, for university students.
