In a move the Global Esports Federation (GEF) has made a collaboration, with MGM Alternative, a division of Amazon MGM Studios. This partnership marks a step for MGM Alternative as they enter the world of esports. The main goal is to create captivating content that revolves around the Global Esports Games and highlights the stories of esports players while also exploring the esports industry in depth.
MGM Alternative is well known for its portfolio including television projects like Shark Tank, The Voice and Gladiators. Now they will be working closely with GEF to produce engaging content. This multifaceted venture will cover aspects such as developing linear and streaming content and seamlessly integrating events into GEFs esports conventions and activities. Together they aim to create a journey leading up to the anticipated 2024 edition of the Global Esports Games that will captivate audiences in China.
The 2023 Global Esports Games held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in December 2023 showcased the phenomenon of esports. With than 950 esports athletes from, over 100 nations participating across titles this event emphasized the inclusive and diverse nature of esports.
Looking forward the Global Esports Games are set to create a buzz, in the United Arab Emirates in 2025 followed by the USA in 2026. Qatar in 2027.
This exciting partnership with MGM Alternative marks a milestone after the GEFs decision to establish a new executive team earlier this year. The creation of this team represents an update to the GEFs organizational structure aligning its vision with the ever changing esports landscape worldwide.
