Dr Michaela Macdonald

Dr Michaela MacDonald is a lecturer at the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary, University of London. In her role as co-editor in chief of the Interactive Entertainment Law Review (IELR) and co-organizer of the More Than Just a Game (MTJG) conference series, she is also one of the leading interactive entertainment law scholars. Michaela is a legal expert who works with the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), the UK Intellectual Property Office, the European Space Agency and the European Audiovisual Observatory. Her recent work includes co-authoring a WIPO study on copyright infringement in the video game industry and a UKIPO-commissioned study on IP and the Metaverse.
